Suzanne Dimma, Arriz Hassam in their cottage retreat

Who says a secluded retreat needs to be rustic and run-down? House & Home‘s Suzanne Dimma and 3rd Uncle Design‘s Arriz Hassam walk viewers through their amazingly designed cottage in this six-minute-long video.

Some might say it’s not fitting to have such a “modern” approach to a cottage, to have such luxury in the middle of nowhere, but I think they’ve captured the beauty and simplicity of their surroundings in a way that works for them, and merges comfort, convenience, and style with the warm nature just outside.

I’ve linked to posts about Suzanne’s cottage before, linking to her and Arriz’s blog posts about the design and construction.

It kind of reminds me of Falling Water. It’s a Beautiful place, my only problem would be not wanting to leave :) .

Agreed, the location is amazing, and they’ve done some great, innovative things with it, without compromising their aesthetic or the wilderness. It’s what a cottage should be. Personal, without covering or overtaking their surroundings.
